This is a sport of H. 'Lakeside Cupcake', the difference being that 'Half and Half' emerges with a pure white center that remains throughout the season.
Thick leaves have a very dark green border and show a third light green color where there is overlap.
The clump is low growing and many of the leaves twist at the end of the petioles creating a more disorganized look.
Slug resistance and vigorous grower.
